I have spoken with many of you who are ready to bring your talents out into the world. I love that and always have. I love this video but I am upset because I still see the problem in the education system. Yet I am also encouraged because I see a real change in the entrepreneurial world as more and more of us are bringing our talents out into the world. And it turns out that storytelling is a central part of this creative process, both in the discovery and creation of original content, as well as in the development of powerful tools of communication and connection.

I have been thinking about the relationship between leadership, creativity and storytelling. What are the qualities of great leadership, why is creativity so important and why is it so significant for people in leadership to tell their stories? When I think about great leaders in every area of life from business leaders to religious leaders I see their creativity and their stories as a core element of how we see their greatness. What makes a great leader and how leadership is developed and shared through our stories has become a focus of my current thinking.
