I recently heard a successful business coach give a class on how important it is to use storytelling in your offers and in your business. I love when I hear someone say you have to tell your story to sell your product or service. I love that my passion turns out to be a central part of successful business communication.
For many years I neither knew nor really even cared about business storytelling. I did always care about telling deep stories that were inspiring and moving as well as funny, surprising and compelling. The kind where you can hear a pin drop in a room full of 100 young children.
It is truly inspiring what a story can do to change a life, change a moment, change a perspective, and truly make a difference in a way that is at once real and creative.

I have a client who is moving at a fast and furious pace! He is finding so many stories that he has made a log of them, and their meanings, so he will have them when he has to make presentations and videos. He has already made a number of videos based on these stories.
On Friday, after we finished our session I decided to make my own video about his stories! It is a great illustration of the power of using the S.TA.T.E. process I have created to find stories. And what is most amazing about it is that at first the stories seem irrelevant. With a closer look it is possible to find powerful meaning in surprising childhood stories.
Listen here to get a taste of how it is done and how you can also find and use your childhood stories as inspiring business parables. Then reply to this email and tell me how you would like to use your stories in your business and how I can help you to find more stories and make them work for you.
